Lloyd Lambert established Lambert Brown Scales, Inc in 1949 under the name Lambert Distributors. The company began as a Toledo Scale distributor servicing all types of industrial scales as well as retail scales covering the entire state of Oklahoma. Additional equipment sold and serviced included every aspect of custom butchering and processing purveyors, industrial disposals, and custom automatic meat wrappers.

In 1954, Lloyd’s brother Jack Lambert joined the Tulsa operation and a second office opened in Oklahoma City. From 1954 to 1967, the company owned these two locations plus two public truck scales. In 1967, Lloyd sold his interest in the company to Jack and retired. At this time Al Brown was hired into the company as operations manager and Jack took over all outside sales.

Al Brown purchased 25% of the company and in 1967; the company was incorporated in the State of Oklahoma as Lambert Brown Sales, Inc. In October of 1972, Rick Dyer hired in as a service technician, at this time Lambert Brown Sales, Inc employed 13 service technicians and 3 office personnel. During this same year, Rick was provided an opportunity to purchase 25% of the stock to allow Mr. Lambert to retire from the company in December 1972. This placed Rick into the position of vice-president and operations manager.

In 1975 in order to streamline, the business and increase profitability Dyer and Brown made the decision to end its twenty-six year distributorship with Toledo Scale. This ended the sales and service of all equipment except industrial scale equipment. The Oklahoma City operation was sold and new distributorships with multiple scale manufacturers were established. In March of 1994, Dyer and his wife Carol purchased the remaining stock from Al Brown allowing for his retirement.

In January of 1995, Paul Rothhammer was hired as vice president. Over the next twelve years, the company has grown 500%. The Company relocated from its long time location in Tulsa, OK to Broken Arrow, OK in 1998. Lambert Brown Scales, Inc enjoys continued growth and prides itself in excellent service and products for our customers.
